Every day at Bridges to Hope, volunteers work tirelessly to deliver critical community support. Our mission would simply not be possible without this incredible team.
For the month of November, we’re highlighting John M! John is one of our dedicated van drivers. On Mondays, John helps us with shopping and donation pick up, ensuring our pantry has what it needs to serve our neighbours throughout the week.
We caught up with John to ask him about his volunteer involvement:
When did you start volunteering with Bridges to Hope?
I started volunteering with Bridges To Hope in January of 2024.
What is your favourite part of volunteering at Bridges to Hope? I have always felt that it is important to give back to the community that you live and work in. Understanding community needs helps to foster empathy and self-efficacy. Volunteering brings people together from diverse backgrounds, fostering camaraderie and a stronger sense of community for everyone.
Tell us a fun fact about you!
I love animals and have a myriad number of pets. I'm an avid motorcycle enthusiast and rider. Since I was a child, I enjoy decorating for Holidays.
Thanks for being a part of our team, John. People like you make our community stronger! |
